A Grand Canyon Youth program is truly a team effort.
We are proud of our strong community partnerships and believe that they truly help us to be more successful. Our partners include:
Grand Canyon National Park. Our programs in collaboration with Grand Canyon National Park include Rim to River and Grand Inspiration. Park rangers assist with the planning and implementation of the service and education aspect of the program.
Chaco. As part of our collaboration with Chaco, all financial aid recipients receive a pair of river sandals to use on their trip in exchange for completing two extra hours of community service
Global Explorers. We team up with this nonprofit organization for a special program called Leading the Way for visually impaired and sighted students in Grand Canyon as well as other custom education programs.
Northern Arizona University. We collaborate with Northern Arizona University in a variety of ways. The Hopi Footprints program through the department of anthropology is one of our favorites. Each summer we collaborate on a multi-generational program with Hopi youth and elders on the San Juan River.
Grand Canyon Trust. We collaborate with the Grand Canyon Trust Volunteer Program to collect scientific data along the Colorado River and other great projects working to protect and preserve the Colorado Plateau.
1% for the Planet. Grand Canyon Youth is a nonprofit partner of 1% for the Planet, working everyday for planet earth!
